Eyup! I’m a Wakefield born spoken word artist, creative practitioner, producer and political activist. My main themes centre around socio-political commentary and kitchen sink realism, and I’m available for spoken word bookings worldwide, as well as commissions and workshops.
In 2015 I formed the spoken word record label Nymphs & Thugs. I’m an ambassador for Trinity Homeless Projects, CRIBS International and Eureka! The National Children’s Museum; Poet-in-Residence at the National Coal Mining Museum for England and Efficiency North; and a resident CP at The Hepworth Wakefield.
As a CP, I deliver workshops for a wide range of groups and organisations. This involves both formal and non-formal sessions across a range of ages and backgrounds, which can be bespoke to each booking.
From 2007-2013, I fronted alternative pop act Skint & Demoralised, through which my lyrics received global critical acclaim. I’ve been a political activist since my spoken word career began in 2006, and am a loyal member of the Labour Party.
