As I’m sure you know by now, these days I tend to programme and host a lot more events than I perform at. I do this through my record label/events organisation Nymphs & Thugs and it’s a real passion. We’re seeing off 2023 with style by presenting a trio of events in Leeds this November…

Tue 7 | Nymphs & Thugs x Bad Betty at HPBC, Leeds (compère)

Nymphs & Thugs have partnered with Bad Betty Press again to host the Leeds leg of their UK tour. Poetry from Emily Zobel Marshall, Amy Acre, Jasmine Cooray, and James Kearns! Tickets are available here for £6 (£4 concessions).

Thu 16 | Chelping at The Leeds Library (programmer)

The 24th instalment of Chelping brings you feature slots from Bryony Littlefair and Andy Craven-Griffiths, plus the usual open mic section (which is now full – sorry!). Tickets are available here for £5.

Thu 23 | Tubthumping @ Old Woollen, Farsley (co-compère)

Our second and final ‘Tubthumping’ of 2023 presents another spectacular double headline bill of Khadijah Ibrahiim and Toby Campion. We’ll also have the showcase section with emerging regional talent, and I’ll be on compère duties with my better half Maria Ferguson. Tickets are available here for £12 plus booking fee.
