morning scribble 🔱

doing what i love with @livewirepoetry 🎤

these thugs. they terrorise suburan play areas with a flagrant disregard for communal harmony. joyriding abandoned shopping trollies in their size 4½ rocket wellies. these thugs, they intimidate with reckless abandon. mocking @leedscouncil's attempt at designing a joyful concrete arena. with their callous disdain and their bobble hats, and their gibberish threats, and their relentless dribble. these thugs will be the end of me. these scoundrels. these thugs.

had a brilliant time at the @firststory_uk young writers' festival! it's the first time i've managed to make it down to cambridge...what an incredible venue.

love this group shot from saturday night! huge thanks to @henry_raby and @vandal_factory for putting this together. it felt really special to come together and share work by palestinian writers alongside our own.

an excerpt from my poem 'peacocks can't swim', which has been longlisted in @thepoetrysociety's #nationalpoetrycompetition.

an extremely rare day at the football with my old man 🦚 this alone is sacred enough, but a 2-0 win to take us top of the league at this stage in the season makes it even sweeter.

next weekend, i'm performing as part of this @medicalaidpal fundraiser at @opensourcearts in leeds. @henry_raby has done a brilliant job at driving this and pulling together artists and activists from across the leeds scene 🍉

i was buzzing to make a rare appearance in the @sohoradio studio a few weeks back for another episode of @roaring20sradio 🙌🏻

i'm incredibly excited about this new venture. @livewirepoetry has evolved from nymphs & thugs and will specialise in live events and writer development.
