A short poem for those who’ve lost father figures and might struggle when Father’s Day rolls around

I know from personal experience how tough it can be for people who’ve lost parental figures when Father’s Day and Mother’s Day roll around. So, I was touched to be commissioned by British Heart Foundation to write this poem ahead of Father’s Day 2025.

Hopefully, it’ll resonate with people and create an extra opportunity for them to share cherished memories of any father figures they might have lost. If that’s you, take care of yourself tomorrow – it’s just one more day to get through!
