I’ve enjoyed many a pint of Northern Monk over the years, so I was thrilled when they commissioned me to write this poem as part of their Great Northern Day launch. The event is in Bradford this Sunday (24 Aug) if you can make it!

Northern Monk’s aim is to establish an annual celebration of The North which eventually matches up to St Patrick’s Day in stature. I’m all for it, to be fair! It’s a day packed with music, food, and much more. There’s more info on Facebook.
