I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be running a poetry workshop at The Hepworth Wakefield on 17, which takes inspiration from JW Anderson and David Bowie. Click here to purchase tickets (£20, or £17.50 for members).
JW Anderson’s ‘Disobedient Bodies’ exhibition challenges boundaries from fashion and textures to gender and sexuality. This reminded me of Bowie’s iconic career, so I decided to combine the two and use some of Bowie’s lyric writing techniques to explore JW Anderson’s current concept.
In some ways its an odd combination, but that always makes for the best workshops. This is a really prestigious exhibition, and obviously being native to Wakefield, it’s always great to work at The Hepworth.
