Following a successful run at Edinburgh Fringe earlier this year, I’m doing a quartet of ‘Two Little Ducks’ shows in the middle of November, as I continue to develop the show before touring it next spring.
The dates are as follows:
WAKEFIELD TICKETS UPDATE
I understand that folk are having difficulty receiving refunds from Unity Works. With this in mind, I’ve arranged a special 50% discount for UW ticket holders. If that’s you, please reserve a ticket by emailing c.lomas@wakefield.ac.uk. You will need to provide proof of purchase at the Box Office on the night, after which you can purchase your half-price ticket.
The show will have developed slightly from the Edinburgh run, and I’m really excited to perform it in a couple of venues that I have a very strong connection with. Also, I have some amazing support acts (there’s line-up info on each Facebook event).
Written in late 2016/early 2017, the show contains three key strands. It explores the core reasons behind the working-class Leave vote in the EU referendum; exposes the harsh realities of the Calais Jungle refugee camp; and uses the fictionalised story of Maria to tie it all together.
I received a string of brilliant reviews in Edinburgh, including 5* from pro-Remain national newspaper The New European, as well as Broadway Baby. ‘Two Little Ducks’ is being co-produced by Norwich Arts Centre and Nymphs & Thugs.
You can purchase the studio recording of ‘Two Little Ducks’ on CD or download here for £5 plus P+P. There’s also a triple bundle for £10 plus P+P, which includes 2015 show ‘Skint & Demoralised’ plus ‘The Socialist Saliva EP’ (recorded on last year’s #JC4PM tour).
