It’s now less than a week until ‘A Hurricane in my Head’ is published by Bloomsbury, and they asked me to write something for their Education blog about the story behind the collection.
Almost all of you will know that my “adult” output has been unashamedly political for some time now, so to make the transition to children’s author seems quite drastic. Either way, it was a lot of fun.
The blog is here, and you can pre-order the collection here. It’s targeted at 10-14 year olds, with themes including challenging societal stereotypes, playful rebellion, friendships, family and struggles with technology (and school…and supermarkets…and cinema dates…and modern life in general).
