I’m not really sure what to say to be honest. This is undoubtedly the biggest honour of my career to date, and if you’d have told me a year ago – never mind when I owned my first Leeds shirt at 7 years old – I’d have gone nuts.
To cut to the chase, Leeds United commissioned me to write a poem for the launch of their centenary kit. The poem is read by fellow Leeds fan Ralph Ineson in the video, with some awesome footage compiled by the club.
Huge thanks to Thom Kirwin who made the original recommendation – I know Thom from when I used to write weekly poems for the Yorkshire Radio breakfast show back in 2009/10.
