You may or may not know that I run a spoken word record label and events organisation called Nymphs & Thugs. Well, either way, you know now…

Anyway, we’ve just announced our biggest series of ‘LIVEwire’ events to date; kicking off at Byline Festival in August and followed by four large regional shows, plus a residency at Hyde Park Book Club in Leeds.

Nymphs & Thugs ‘LIVEwire’ dates

I’ll be hosting all of these dates apart from Manchester, and each one has a unique line-up; with some of the UK’s leading spoken word stars pairing up alongside Nymphs & Thugs artists.

Live spoken word poetry is something I’m extremely passionate about. The whole aim of Nymphs & Thugs since day one has been to champion the scene, support alternative voices and be a vehicle for challenging preconceptions and removing barriers.

We also use ‘LIVEwire’ to showcase diversity. I genuinely believe that you’ll only have diverse audiences with diverse line-ups. All of the info that you need for these dates is here, and I did a “story so far” piece on the label for The State Of The Arts here.
