We’re a strange bunch, football fans. We almost revel in the misery as much as we do in the glory, but then again, it’s rare that we have much choice. So as you can imagine, I was very pleased when I was asked to write for a feature called Losing My Favourite Game which recalls a memorable defeat.

I chose Leeds United’s 4-1 defeat at Bolton Wanderers in 2004, which all-but sealed our relegation from the Premier League. You can read it on That’s Liquid Football here.
