As you may have seen, on Good Friday I released Part 1 of my new ‘A Life of Wearing White’ EP. It’s available to stream or download in all of the usual places – click here for a handy page of shortcuts.
Part 2 of the EP is also out now, and you can find it in the same places here. Just a note: I get a much higher cut if you buy it through Bandcamp, and 50% of the profits on the release are being donated to the Leeds Fans Food Bank, so if you want to help a great cause as well as buy the single, that’s your best bet.
The poems all capture various experiences from my life as a die-hard Leeds United fan. Part 1 begins with the title poem, which was shared by the club on their centenary following a commission for the centenary kit launch.
And Part 2 features some slightly darker elements, with a fleeting reference to my night spent bed-less in Cardiff (pictured in the artwork) on the eve of the disastrous Championship Play-Off Final in 2006.
Anyway, the football theme may well mean that you avoid it like the plague, but if not, I hope you enjoy. Marching On Together.
