I’ve been delivering poetry sessions in schools since 2013, and before the lockdown, on average I’d guess that it contributed to around 60% of my monthly income. It’s something that I’m dead passionate about, and last month’s GCSE poetry row started a lot of different conversations.

Here are my thoughts on how poetry in schools can – and desperately needs to – improve from here.
