As you may have seen, I’ve been in residence as an artist/researcher at Sunny Bank Mills since the new year. The project is funded by LEEDS 2023 and has seen me exploring a range of archives and resources to find hidden stories in and around LS28.

The culmination of this project is a Sharing Stories event at The Old Woollen on Sunday 10 April. It’s an interactive family-friendly event from 12-4pm. There’ll be a range of ways for you to share your own stories, and I’ll also be sharing the poetry that I’ve written as part of the project.

Sharing Stories event in Farsley on Sunday 10 April

I spoke about this in the Yorkshire Evening Post at the weekend. And immediately following my Sharing Stories event, there’s an open mic fundraiser for Ukraine. So, it’ll be a whole day of stories, performances, and sharing.

You can read more about the event on the Sunny Bank Mills website. And you don’t need to book in advance – just turn up whenever you feel like it…! See you then, hopefully.
